Hawkins Precision New Product - Featherweight Scope Rings

We are working to get the 35 Hybrids on machines. MK5 HDs are great scopes! I have no ETA on that project at this time. Next up for the Featherweights will be Defiance and Tikka. I will check with R&D and see when they think those may be available.

    7mm PRC

We did some testing of the new caliber. It's very easy to shoot and shoots well. Have some results on an article with several powders. https://hawkinsprecision.com/2022/10/24/reloading-for-7-prc/

    7 PRC Build...your thoughts

We've done a lot of testing and shooting the 7PRC. It's been really good. The recoil is very manageable and we've had luck at the Nightforce ELR match and hunting Elk in Colorado with it running factory ammo. Did a short article as well on powders charges and 180 ELD-Ms. We shot 190 A-Tips at...

    Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM issue??

Toader - Not sure what the issue is. I'd need your gun here in front of me to figure it out at this point. I'd send it into your gunsmith. In general cerakoted actions are not as smooth as nitrided. Sometimes folks have preferences that are trying to accommodate. We know Preston. Have him reach...

    Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM issue??

Some things to keep in mind, billet aluminum is harder than brass. We have steel AICS mags that scratch brass, but generally all mags wear in. Brass is soft. Please also keep in mind you need to load the magazine with rounds to snug them up. The LA magazines are designed with less clearance...

    Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM issue??

You can touch them up if needed. Wouldn't mind seeing that magazine if that's the case too. I had not tried the Aluminum black on the magazines have to say. The billet aluminum should not rust on you either. Though I have to admit, I'm not a metallurgist.

    Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM issue??

This is Nick. If I missed your email or you waited more than a day or two, that is uncommon. I pride myself on being as fast as anyone in the business to reply. I am also the only customer rep for the company. If I was traveling for say a PRS match, it may have taken me an extra day. One thing...

    Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM issue??

A couple things we'd like to add. The magazine rattle, when you place rounds into the magazine and have the bolt over the top this snugs up everything. There needs to be some clearance build into this system or when you go to release the magazine it will be extremely hard to get out. If you...

On those we run our 35mm MED Ultra-Light Tactical rings. Offset level is handy too. https://evolvedballistics.com/accessories/hawkins-precision-ultra-light-tactical-scope-rings-35mm-medium-with-offset-level/
