Don;t know much about 49 but I have pulled several bulls and several bear from 51. Which hunt do you have? That depends a lot on what and where.

Which cow hunt do you have? Early hunts they are still a bit more scattered and higher. Later hunts and they are down low near my buddies ranch in large herds. Time of the hunt will make a difference on where I would recommend. So, when is your cow hunt.?
