So I did have a little miracle, finding 150 gr Swift scirocco bullets was almost impossible. Went on GB, a guy was selling a new box of 100. Got them here and it was the same lot number as the ones I had. It’s the little things.

Amp just seems easier and less to screw up. Maybe getting one of the flame machines set up right is easier than I think, but to me the amp looks easier, and that comes with a price

About 15 yds on a whitetail. I was standing at the top of an abandoned train trestle, and he walked to the bottom of the creek, and pulled the gun up, saw brown in the scope and shot. Found the bullet when we capes him, broke shoulders/spine, but didn’t exit. 150 gr swift out of a 300 RUM.

So, it’s not the longest shot I ever made but it’s the one I’m most impressed with. It was with a Remington model 34 22 lr, open sights on a woodchuck 84 yards away leaning against the truck, one shot through the chest. Surprised myself.

Favorite is my dads 30’06 1982 Remington 700 BDL. It just shoots lights out with Sierra psp, 1.5 group at 300 with a Redfield fixed 6 power. I always held it in an almost god like rifle and every other rifle falls short.

I ultra sonic mine, rinse with distilled water. Dry outside with towel and inside with q tips. Right or wrong that’s how I’m doing it.
