    Re-barrel

    What is the best hunting bullet 140 grain or heavier you used in your 6.5 caliber rifle

    I’ve been shooting 140gr Sierra Gamekings in my 260 Rem for a few years now and have had great success. Running them at 2725fps. Only shot whitetail with shots as short as 30-40yds out to around 250yds. Haven’t lost one yet and get 1/2 moa accuracy.

    Bottom metal

    When I was looking for the same thing the HS precision was the closest that I found. It doesn’t sit perfectly flush but it’s not bad.

    Remage and Bell & Carlson stock

    I have used the B&C M40 stock in both of my criterion remage builds and didn’t have to do anything to the stocks to clear the barrel nut. If you do, it won’t be more than a little sanding.

    Remage Barrel Install - SE MI?

    Bucklowery hit it on the head. Have done multiple myself and I am no gunsmith. Got everything from NSS to do it at the house. If you spend a little extra and get the NSS lug and action wrench adapter to hold it then everything works great.

    TBAC ULTRA 7 or Ultra 9?

    I have the ultra9. With a 22” barrel it is still a reasonable overall length for hunting.

    What is the best long rang bullet you have used for your 338 win mag ?

    I had great results with the Barnes 225gr TTSx in my Rem 700 338WM. Under 3/4” groups with minimal load development.
