I tested groups / loads in my 340. Shot all with the brake on. Removed it to go on my hunting trip and check POI , i was surprised to see it moved 5" right and high. BTW accubonds and grand slams shot 2-2.5" Barnes 225s 5/8s.

Where did i complain? I said the bullet was too weak for the cartridge/animal. The S MBT in the 338/378 is a target bullet only. Unless you are ok with blowing up smaller animals. With the correct bullet it will be fine.

I used them on my 338/378 and at close range they were terrible. They came apart bad. didnt even make it thru the chest on a elk. On deer it about cut them in half. I wouldnt use them on anything other then small animals , deer , goats etc. They were the most accurate bullet ive ever used.

Its in BC , guided elk trip. Ill be using a 340 wby on elk. If i get and elk i want to keep wandering around with my 2 buddies as they hunt. The 4570 would be for that.
