That seems hard to evaluate being some of us live east coast and shoot in minimal wind compared to you guys out west. How would that difference be accounted for? I see wind as being the biggest challenge and taking 100 shots on targets on a range protected from the wind being an unfair advantage.
I think you missed what I was getting at, you don’t take 100 shots on game in such a short time frame as how he set up this challenge. How many years would it take to harvest 100 antelope?
But who is shooting 100 rounds at a single animal in that short amount of time. If we go for realistic, no more than 5 shots getting progressively farther away.
This is more of a test of endurance shooting than proving anything for hunting. Here it would take 17 years to kill 100 deer. I’d shoot the rifle meant for this game and it would be that 6br or x47.
He is going to try 130otm and 140 hybrid box bergers and if they aren’t his liking, handloads. He also said if the lighter guns didn’t shoot he’d take his heavier guns and hit the gym more.
I would but my road trips usually consists of driving to my destination and back, only stopping for fuel and bathroom in 26hrs. And it seems most places are closed when I go through on the weekends or in the dark (I would say night but I usually start the trip late afternoon).
