Am I about to screw up my savage?

Thanks MNbogboy. great insight about the extraction, I never thought about that. Ill have to assemble it and just test it a couple times. and I did end up sawing off the cocking indicator and the lift kit goes in perfectly. thanks for the advice!

Am I about to screw up my savage?

So I own a Savage 111 (bottom bolt release, visible cocking indicator) and I just bought a PTG replacement bolt body because the stock one is ugly, and a bolt lift kit to try and reduce some of the roughness when cocking. here are the parts. lift kit...

    Hello from Houston Texas

I wish I could :/ i re-barreled it to 300PRC. Before I did that I actually used the factory Berger 230gr Hybrid OTM and still was only getting 1 to 1.3 MOA. Of course that was with a super light sport button rolled carbon barrel from the factory.

    Hello from Houston Texas

thanks for the advice CTK! ive been using a bipod and a small rear bag, i do notice a small amount of shake in the reticle, maybe about 1/4MOA, its hard to hold it perfectly still. perhaps a front bag and some weights like you said to make the rifle heavier.

roger that. researching reloading equipment now, RCBS sells a all in one kit that seems to be good, minus the dies.

hey ShtrRdy id love too but the round is relatively new, so far i've only found two options for ammo at all both from hornady. They are the ELD-X and ELD-match. I havnt tried the ELD-X yet, you think that might improve things?
