I didn't think to contact them. Did they get it fixed for you pretty quickly? Thank you for replying. I was seriously impressed with it until it had that stuff show up.

    Budget scope : /

I purchased the 4-14x44 mil-mil midway scope afterall. It was extremely clear and it felt well built. Reticle was really nice and the turrets were great. Got it sighted in after 3 shots at 100 and it held great. Fast forward after 1 day of hunting/being on the atv and there are chips of...

    Budget scope : /

Lol, that's the truth. I'm coming from a FFP scope that has been faithful for 10 years. Last year I started having issues with glare at certain sun positions (totaled about 20 minutes where it was un-usable) and in the dawn/dusk period the image is gray-washed..... The issue seems to have...

Also how is the glare with it? What about dusk/dawn vision? Thanks for the help!

    Budget scope : /

Wow, that is a heck of a deal on that scope. I've followed it and the PA scope in the past for a bench 223 rifle. Are the turrets large enough that they'll get caught on stuff and do they capture a lot of dust? The dirt where I'm at is like powder. Thank you for the suggestion. It's my...

    Budget scope : /

Long story short...I have about 8 hunts left this season and my scope is having issues that are beyond repair. I work full time, I'm in grad school full time, and have an active family of 6..so time/$ right now is pretty tight....especially since Christmas is around the corner. I'm looking...

    Stiff Bolt with Reloads***Help Please**

Hey guys, I am having an issue with some 223 reloads in a Savage model 10. The reloads are set to spec per OAL, and all measurements I can measure are in spec...however, on closing the bolt with a dummy round there is a lot of resistance. At first I saw rifling marks on the bullet, it...

    Encore grouping poorly

Just giving a quick update. I found the bolt in the grip was a little loose and it'd cause the gun to rock when fired. I fixed that and used plastic washers to free float the forend. Put 20 rounds down the tube today. POI was 4" high and 2" to the left on my initial groups. Best I was...

    Encore grouping poorly

I can't remember the name of the device but it's basically a soft padded "y" that adjusts for elevation. For the rear grip I had a sandbag to support it on sight. I was concerned as well. I checked the scope mounts etc. The fact that it was consistent really bothered me.

    Encore grouping poorly

Unfortunately I don't have access to a lot of rifle powders so my options are limited, still having supply issues here. I have H4350 and 4064 right now. I had only shot the two lengths thus far. Whatever is factory from hornady and .02 off the lands. I'll look into the forend issue for sure...

    Encore grouping poorly

Hey guys. Have a MGM 6.5 Creedmoor with a 1:9 twist. Barrel is 15" long. I have a burris 3-12x LER topping it off. With factory 120 A-Max I was averaging 2-3" groups. I started reloading and am doing 120 Nosler Spitzers with 4064 at various grains and the best I was able to get was 2". I...

I want but not sure if I need....

It might be a decent setup as is. I need to give it a shot, literally. The factory stock is so flimsy it touches the barrel easily. In a new stock it'd look funny with the factory barrel in a heavy barrel channel. There again it's the choate with aluminum bedding block. I already have a...

I want but not sure if I need....

Stock trim on this one is 1:9.25 twist I think so it wouldn't be suitable for anything much bigger than 100 grain I dont think. It also has the underside bolt release which apparently limits my stock choice(Choate seems to be the only one) I've read some very positive things about 243...

I want but not sure if I need....

The farmer's land may actually be a working idea. Lots of that here in south texas. So there's some hope still, lol. You guys should be motivational speakers. I've been burned before buying used firearms that I couldn't handle before purchase so I'd prefer to buy local, build, or buy new...

I want but not sure if I need....

Lol. I hear ya. Im just wondering if ill get a chance to use it much. Id like a pig/coyote gun for 600 yards, but paper punch capable to 1k. Thatd be awesome and I see those types of shots pretty often. I also dont know where to start caliber wise either. I know what id use for a bench...
