Went to the range today with a friend who just got his new Remington 870 Super Magnum 3,5". Shooting was a real blast! I have an 11-87 myself but I have to say that the 870 Super Magnum seems kind of versatile. You don't HAVE to load it with 3,5" shells, but it sure is fun! :D

I got this velocity by extrapolating some load data for 24" barrels. Also, QuickLoad suggests that 3300 fps is possible with a maximum load of Norma MRP which essentially is the same as Re-22. But maybe 3200 fps is more realistic(?) and definietely "enough". Are you sure that your barrel has...

Thanks! I handload and used 37 grains VV N150 to propel the Scenar 123's at 2870 in my old gun. It would be nice to use the heavier bullets though for downrange performance, but I should run some comparison graph for that using Excel I guess.

The 6,5 Grendel is based on the PPC case and doesn't have a whole lot of horsepower.
