    Agreed. Like all Vortex products the MSRP is a bit scammy but if you shop around you can find good deals. I picked mine up on BH Photo a few weeks ago for $1100 with a free gift (olight flashlight/laser pointer). Saw it on Dvor a few days ago for $1150 iirc. Can't beat Vortex's warranty either.

    I've used a collet bullet puller to cycle a bullet through the neck several times to reduce neck tension. Other suggestions are probably better but maybe this matches your tools on hand.

    I give a very light spray on the brass in a loading block from all four sides, brass upright, and see about +/- .0015" shoulder bump variance with a Forster bushing bump neck sizing die with no expander FWIW.

    I don't have much more to add, but I personally would start measuring your prepped brass and comparing it to factory ammo/brand new brass. I'd also confirm it chambers with zero resistance with your ejector and firing pin removed. Good luck, I'm curious what you figure out.
