The bolt did open and the case remained in the gun after i taped out the cartridge i could see a spot on it where it tried to puyll out the shell. i tried a different fired case in the gun and it inserts and removes fine. then i put the case that jamed back in and once again couldnt get it out...

I recently took up handloading an d loaded 180 grain tsx bullets for my 300 rum. i worked up to the max load and backed off a little and never saw any presure signs or problems 180 tsx rem brass 100 grains of retumbo when i set it up and tested the rifle all my shots were ten minuits appart...

what wt bullet are you pushing at that speed. i dont have a chrono. I am using the 180 tsx and 100g of retumbo with no presure signs. this is in a remington sendero barrel.i was estimateing my speed in the 3300 range comparing them to the factory loads that i purchaced. thanks

kraky How far off the lands are you seating the bullets if the tsx bullets are too close presures go way up.

I have not saw the fouling problem but i wouldnt expect too. i have cleaned the barrel after each group working up my load. I also wait at least ten minuits between shots to make sure the barrel is cool. Mine is a hunting rifle and the first cold shot has to count. our loads sound the same...
