    Looking for pass through

I would suggest a copper bullet from Barnes. They mushroom, stay together, and I have always had a good exit wound and blood trail.

Measuring Die Neck Diameter without Pin Gauges?

Thanks for your comment, I could get four gauges for each of the three calibers I currently load for $60 plus shipping, or a big set on Amazon for $120 with free shipping that would cover just about everything. Still wish there was a cheaper way.

Measuring Die Neck Diameter without Pin Gauges?

I agree with you about not being able to change the diameter without lapping, but knowing the precise diameter would still let me know what the tension would be for different thicknesses of brass, and the stock RCBS die might coincidentally happen to be a good match "as-is" for one type of brass...

Measuring Die Neck Diameter without Pin Gauges?

Cartridge Base walks in Shellholder when seating

That's a good idea. I'll try it next time I seat bullets.

I don't remember if it also does it with other calibers.

Cartridge Base walks in Shellholder when seating

I'll double check the shellholder is not moving. Thanks.

Cartridge Base walks in Shellholder when seating

I'm using a Lee #2, which should be the same as an RCBS #3.

Cartridge Base walks in Shellholder when seating

No, it walks after the bullet starts seating. It's a new press.

Cartridge Base walks in Shellholder when seating

Thanks for your input. I don't think the shell holder is moving. The cartridge base is sliding partially out of the shell holder. I went with the Lee shell holder set since it was very affordable compared to the RCBS. I've ordered the RCBS shell holder and I should have it in a couple weeks...

Actually, Amazon says they will have them in about a week so I placed the order.
