I'd sell it! I had a Christensen 7 mm Remy and the bolt was stiff as hell, very finicky with ammo. Customer service sucked. Finally, after months of going back n forth, they refunded my money. Rifle would not group at or under MOA
Congratulations! My Montana sow black bear squared 5'6". And weighed approximately 200 pounds. She was 22 years old!!! Berger 180 at 460 yds. Caught the wind a bit and put it thru the liver. We found her about 100 yards away down hill.
Everytime we pull the trigger, we take a chance. We take a chance of kill or wound. Anything can happen. If you've never wounded an animal, you haven't hunted enough. All I'm saying is if you feel absolutely confident in your ability, go for it.
If you have 5 rifles in .308, I'd presume you are a better than average shot! The .308 is awesome! Very tolerant of powders and bullet combos, great caliber to reload. My Remington heavy barrel 5R is the most accurate in my gun safe....just like yours. A call to Remington on how accurate it...

69 grains of H1000 over 168 berger yielded me I believe 3100 fps with 1/4 " groups at 100 yds. Stock remmy 7mm mag sendaro. I used nosler cases and annealed them. Bullet depth is about 20 tho. Off lands. No issues with high pressure. For berger 180's I use 72 grains of retumbo for sub to moa...
My 1st experience with a .308 150 grain Ballistic Tip was an immediate dead deer! Never took a step and heart / front half of lungs were mush. Distance was about 125 yards
I had a Lee case trimmer with all the inserts for various calibers and eventually got so disappointed, I threw the **** thing away! It wasn't trimming the cases evenly. I contacted Lee and they sent me another bushing that the trimmer arm rests in. No better. It's just not good enough for...
