I have been loading for 270's for years, very easy for deer size game at long range. by far my favorite powder is H4831sc. for bullets I went with 150 btip for accuracy and its high BC. most 270's that I have ever loaded for seem to like max or near max( 1 of minelikes it over, but always go...

I see some guys using SMK and VLD bullets for hunting,but does anyone use nosler custom competition bullets on game? I was thinking 168gr out of a 308 or 30-06 on whitetail.

it was IMR 4350. I tried a couple different bullets,but H4831sc always grouped much better,even with lighter bullets.

my sendero is named Thor, my hunting buddy shot a whitetail a long,long ways away with it. now the name has stuck.

try 4831sc near or at max, I never could get 4350 to group in my Rem 700 vls.

try 150gr nosler BTs, bc is .496. they shoot very well from my sendero.

going to get started working up a long range load for a .270 sendero I just picked up. I have purchased 100 each 140 and 150 nosler BT's and 140 sierra 140 spbt. the powder I have on hand is 4831sc,4350,4064,h380,and h414. primers wincheter and federal. anyone have a favorite to get me started...
