Anybody ever use kevlar parachord or kevlar strap to wrap their can? I have been looking at the commercial options and there is some really nice stuff, but **** its expensive for what I want. Just want to keep the mirage down while shooting bolt rifle. Thanks

Just a follow up. This rifle wants to shoot.

Solus fits the Greyboe well. I torqued it to 50 pounds and started shooting. Did not bed it. Rifle is pretty reliable half minute gun. I had not dealt with Greyboe before, but I am a big fan now. Customer service is great too.

I have a TIkka T3 chambered in 300WSM. Can I take the barrel off and put a 7 PRC barrel on and use the long action magazine? I can't see where there is a short or long action with the T3. Thanks

I haven't made it to the desert yet to see but I hear there are some birds but not as many as last year. Think the spring rains had a bad impact on the hatch.
