Browning XBolt Speed vs Christensen Arms Mesa vs Bergara B14

Trying two decide on one of these in 300 win mag. I have had good luck with Browning, have heard Christensen Arms is good, but can have issues. The Bergara has a smooth action, and have heard good barrels, but is heavier than the other two. Will be used for an elk hunt in Colorado, and black...

Federal 155 grain 7mm Terminal Ascent for Elk

I am going elk hunting in Colorado in 2024 for the first time. I am taking my 7mm Rem Mag, and am wondering if the Federal Terminal Ascent would be good bullets, or am I better off with Nosler Particitions?

    6.8 Western vs 6.5 PRC

I read on another forum that the Browning's fast 1 in 7 twist limits the choice of bullet weight in the 6.5 PRC. Is this correct? Said that their rifle wouldn't shoot lighter bullets very well.

    6.8 Western vs 6.5 PRC

I read on another forum that the Browning has a fast twist,I I know it's a 7 in the 6.5 PRC. Does that make it hard to stabilize the lighter weight bullets?

    6.8 Western vs 6.5 PRC

I am looking at a Browning Speed in either a 6.8 Western or 6.5 PRC. I hunt mostly Whitetail here in North Dakota, but have some pretty long shots. Would maybe be used as a backup or lighter carry gun for elk, as I have larger calibers. Any thoughts.

270 Winchester, 6.5-06, or 25-06 Fast Twist Deer Rifle

Otherwise, I would go with 25 06. Shoot my biggest Whitetail deer ever last fall at 273 yards. Dropped right there.

270 Winchester, 6.5-06, or 25-06 Fast Twist Deer Rifle

6.8 Western, basically 270WSM with faster twist barrel, shooting heavier .270 bullets.

Browning Hell Canyon Long Range 7mm Rem 1:9.5 vs 1:8 twist.

I would like to shoot the 175-195 grain bullets.

Browning Hell Canyon Long Range 7mm Rem 1:9.5 vs 1:8 twist.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't even thought of contacting Browning.

Browning Hell Canyon Long Range 7mm Rem 1:9.5 vs 1:8 twist.

I bought a Browning 7mm Rem long range last fall with 1:9.5 twist barrel. I now see browning is now making them with 1:8 twist. I haven't shot mine yet as I haven't decided what scope to put on it, and busy fishing. Was wondering if it would pay to trade it for one with the 1:8 twist?

I have always been interested in Browning BLR's, and was wondering on accruacy and how far could shoot.

    Browning BLR 7mm Rem

What does everyone think about the Browning BLR in 7mm Rem? What about for long range hunting?

    Which caliber?

Mostly for deer hunting 600 to 700 yards, and elk or moose if I would happen to draw a tag.
