    Low recoil deer caliber

Hard to talk about low recoil deer cartridges without the .30-30, but my top choices would be 25-06, 243, or 22-250. I would say 220 swift instead of 22-250 but ammo can be a little difficult to come by sometimes. I've shot 2 so far with my 25-06 savage 110 and neither of them required any tracking

    .325wsm for long range?

I have recently made a trade with my Grandfather. My Lee Enfield .303 for his BLR in .325 short mag. Has anyone ever used one before and if so, how far is it possible to make a shot with this cartridge?

    .300 wsm or .270 winchester?

I have no issues with recoil. I handled my unlce's .460 weatherby magnum with ease, as well as .45-70, .325 wsm and .350 rem mag. I have a more limited budget as I have to try and save money for college as well, so which of the two (.300 or .270) would be more economical?

    .300 wsm or .270 winchester?

Leaning more towards the .270 because I've had the opportunity to shoot one before and was impressed with the accuracy of it. The gun was a winchester model 70 (pre-64) and was incredibly accurate. But I know as well, my uncle has a Tikka T3 in 300 wsm and he really likes that gun.

    .300 wsm or .270 winchester?

For a while, I was debating purchasing a .300 RUM. But recently have realised that it is too much gun for what I intend to hunt for, and will be too impractial for hunting at ranges only out to maybe 200 yards maximum. I live in south/central Ontario, and the longest shot opportunities presented...

Thanks for the links to the Stocky's website, I like the looks of the first stock and I might look into Thompson's water seal as well

    .300 R.U.M advice wanted

Thanks for the tips, I am more of a traditional style shooter and prefer the looks and stability of a wood or laminate stock. I know that the wood can swell but proper sealing and a stain coating can prevent that from happening. gun)

    .300 R.U.M advice wanted

I would like to purchase a Remington 700 SPS in .300 R.U.M but am debating replacing the factory synthetic stock with a wooden stock for a more stable shot and a little more weight. I weigh around 250lbs and am wondering if a replacement stock is a good idea or not. Any advice would be greatly...
