I love this thread. Up here in north east Oklahoma people just dont hunt squirrels like they did 45 years ago. Back then most kids cut there hunting teeth on squirrels. But not now.

Good performance from a 110gr. Your gun looks like a model 10, what barrel length do you have? Is it the heavy or the pencil? Just going by what looks like a blued steel fixed sight model. Sorry If I ask to many questions.

+1 on the Savage, easy to rebarrel and ya got ta love the floating bolt head.

I just rebarreled a Savage model 11 to 243AI, I went with a McGowen 30 inch 1 in 8 twist and have just started fireforming by using Prvi Partizan factory loads. They shoot fine in my rifle and give me nicely formed AI brass.

Since you are in Canada your gun prices wont be the same as ours, and you may not even be able to get some of what we can, but you might have choices we dont. We can toss around models and calibers all day but if they are not avalible in your area then we have only wasted your time. Some good...
