What is the the most flat shooting cartridge yall can think of?

For all practical purposes, without getting into the more exotic wildcats, or the Earsplittenloudenboomers, the .25-06 would be the choice. I think you will probably get a lot more than 800 rounds of barrel life with the use of 115 or 117 gr. bullets and regular cleaning. 298 yds is a good sht...

Whats the cartridge you LOVE to HATE?

My opinion, and I'm stickin' to it. Wouldn't own one as a gift.

Whats the worse rifle or gun you ever bought ? I hsve several tied

Winchester 100 in .243. Wouldn't group, wouldn't stay sighted in, ran through a lot of rounds getting it sighted perfect, only to find it off by a matter of feet whe I shot at anything. Later figured out it was the scope mounting system, but even with open sights it wouldn't put three in a hat...

Whats the cartridge you LOVE to HATE?

    .270 Winchester. Kicks like a **** mule, won't do anything a .30-'06 can't do better.

    Acceptable Accuracy For Hog Hunting

Don't know about your "trusty thuty-thutie," and from your tone, really don't care. My pre '64 trusty .30 WCF will reliably put three rounds in a three inch circle at 150 yds. all day long, and that is well accurate enough for a deer or hog clean kill at the range a 170 gr. round is made for...

A nice little score for the Quarterbore!

I have found very little difference between the 115 gr. load for my.25-06 Remington 700 and the 117 gr. load. Just a slight edge to the 115 gr. over the bench, but not enough to affect hunting accuracy out to 200 yds.

Anybody use Cutting Edge Bullet 176gr Copper Raptor?

.338 Win Mag is a very versatile and usable caliber. I really like mine, even though it is a little much for Texas whitetails, it is perfect for elk. I do find that the lighter bullets don't seem to be as accurate as the 215, 225, or 250 gr. bullets. May just be my rifle, but it seems to like...

What’s your five? 5 Calibers to do it all...

5? I could probably do it with three, but....22-250, .25-06, .30-'06, .338 Win Mag, and .375 H&H Magnum. Prarie dogs to elephants.

    What’s your spookiest hunting experience?

Maybe you should re-read carefully, what I wrote. Or, possibly, brush up on your reading comprehension skills.

    What’s your spookiest hunting experience?

But cottonmouths aren't aggressive, territorial, or prone to attack intruders! Right. So, I am supposed to believe some U tube "expert" that told me all of this and insulted me (in print), claiming he was an expert on cottonmouths. Asked me if I had video evidence of an aggressive cottonmouth...

    Help score this whitetail 10pt?

G-1s are a little short compared to the rest, high rack means he won't measure out in the spread, but still a nice 150, maybe nearly 160. Very nice deer for the location. No sin in hunting high fence, you still have to find them, shoot them, and possibly find them after the shot. Good luck.

    Nosler's revolutionary creation

I'm confused. What will this Wundercartridge do that I can't do with my .30-'06? Or, if you need more, my .338 Win Mag. How dead can you kill anything?
