well a guy offered me a century arms .300 win mag built on a enfield p-14 action. the original load i have always used was h4350 with a 165gr sgk. i bought some match speer 190gr from a guy a couple months ago, and was interested in using them. use would be for white tail mostly. i have on hand...

will the 190gr speer bthp match be adequate for hunting? i am looking for some good loads to start with, so any ideas?

has anyone in here messed with this caliber? if so what did u think of it?

now ive also got a 300 win mag on a enfield p14 action, that i would like to chamber to something diff. i have looked at the .257 stw, 8mm rem mag, .358 sta, etc. would any of these rounds fit that action?

im interested in the 6.5 stw, being had in a rifle i have which is in 7mm rem mag right now. bullet wise i would love to shoot the 130-140 vld hunting rounds. i want to know what all i will have to have done to have this round chambered in this gun.

would i have to open the magazine up to allow it to feed from the mag? could i use it as a single shot? i have two rifles right now that im considering this caliber for, what twist barrel? any suggested loads? any and all info would be very nice to have and study on.

my problem is finding a good gunsmith in my area that can do the work

could i do the 6.5 stw from this rifle? i love the 6.5mm and would love to mess with this caliber. any info would be very helpful
