    factory 6mm

Old post update: I never could get the 6mm to shoot, even after copper solvent. Several years ago I chambered a 1/14 3 groove Benchmark barrel in 6mm remington. I stamped it ".244 Rem". I shoot 53 grains of H30 with a 58 grain Vmax @ 4200 fps. The best I could get with the remington barrel was...

AR-10 build for speed (220 Swift or 22-243)

I shoot a 22-243 and have 3 loads for it. 44.5 grains of IMR 7828 with a 69grain SMK, 44.7 grains of 7828 with a 69 grain nosler comp and 44.2 grains of RE22 with 75 amax. The sierras and noslers are going 3655 and 3650 respectively. The amax load is clocked in at 3400 and all shoot under a 1/2"...

    300 rum load development

Thank you! I've been saying this for years!

    300 rum load development

Here is part of the reason. This was 780 yards and he went 30 yards. I've seen a LOT of elk taken with a 180 accubond and the RUM makes it fast.

    300 rum load development

I shoot 82 grains of h4350 with 180 accubond at 3180. Super accurate

    300 rum load development

Waste of time? You are on a reloading forum telling someone to quit as soon as they get started with load development. I'll try not to speak for all of us here, but most of us get a LOT of satisfaction tuning our rifles/loads. On a brighter note, I would love to see your data for the 300 RUM...

    300 rum load development

Just my .02$- 87 to 88 looks promising. My bet is your brass took quite a beating on the higher end. It may be worth it to anneal the whole lot before resizing. They will at least be consistent, and at the very worst, bring back some life to those higher charged ones. As far as having zero...

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

Yikes, yes. I've seen a couple and they don't usually get very far before they lay down. Then you have to try to get another shot so they don't die a sick, slow death. Then, gutting them out is pretty gnarly. Not to mention the years of abuse you get from your hunting partners for making a poor...

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

I've never whitnessed an animal keep making tracks further than a couple hundred yards. It sucks, and if you have hunted long enough, most hunters will see this at some point. What I'm getting at, IMO, is a little far back is better than a little too far forward.

I have never seen a gut or liver shot animal get away.

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

I bought a lathe and I get top name barrels for 170$. I could care less if someone wants to come at me with the barrel burner myth

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

I don't stop at the book max load. I do however, start around the starting loads in the book and March on. Many folks would say I am being unsafe by not stopping. I disagree. I'm not trying to break records. If there are no problems with excessive pressure, I will try to hit the next accuracy...

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

Jesus H Christ. I shoot a 300 RUM with 180 accubond @ 3200. If it wasn't so God dang accurate, I would change it. I might try something else out. I'm going to try some other stuff lol

    1500 ft/lb energy requirement?

I can't help but be curious, in a 300 WM, you are getting 3100 fps with a 208? And 3600 lbs at 300? I'm not being sceptical, but let fly the specs! Barrel length, powder, etc
