    need help with 22-250 load

I believe that one of the advantages that Savage has over Remington and most all other factory barrels is their 1-12" twist which helps stabilize the heavier bullet. Berger offers a 60 gr, a 62 gr and a 64 gr in both 'match' and what they call their 'maximum expansion factor'. They all seem...

    Crow Hunt

Here in Nevada it is only legal to kill crow not ravens and you have to be able to tell the difference between the two. But as the auctioneer at the Chukar Foundation Dinner said, 'Anyone know the difference between a crow and a raven? The raven is the one that flew off!'

55gr game king vs 55gr blitz king

I'm thinking along the same lines as VH; with the 12 twist barrel, I'd look at something like the Berger Match in 64 gr with a BC of .281; it will most likely be the best for accuracy, however you never know until you load them up and try them. You might give the 70 gr Berger VLD a try as...

    Weaver Grand Slam

Are the Weaver scopes compatible with the Stoney Point Target Knobs?

    Savage 12VSS

Anyone own or have any opinions of this rifle? I am considering the 22-250 & possibly the single shot version over the box magazine version. Thought being, most magazines on factory rifles are so **** short that the optimal OCL round for the rifle doesnt fit in the magazine anyway. Any thoughts?

    Any Luck With Interbonds?

As far as the A-Max bullets go, I get great accuracy out of my 300 RUM at about 3400 fps, however I can't get the SST's to group worth a crap! Any thoughts on Barnes new Triple Shock? What about Nosler's InterBond?

    case oal ?

cdixon, For about $30.00 you can obtain a Stoney Point OAL gauge, and another $6.00 to purchase the 7mm Rem case to go along with it. The will allow you to measure to the nats-*** the OAL where a bullet makes contacts with your rifle's lands. Of course it really is not the bullet tip that...

    The Juenke I.C.C.

Brent, Accuracy Den is still listed in the Reno phone book. I tried calling and got an answering machine, its after 5:00 pm now so perhaps they are closed for the evening. The number is still the same as what BH had provided however they changed our **** area code The number is (775)...

    The Juenke I.C.C.

I'm pretty sure that this guy is still around, at least he was a year or so ago. Frankly I've never heard of his "machine", I thought he was just a gunsmith here in town. I'll make a few phone calls to verify & keep you posted as to what I find out.

    Why the change?

Elarski Do you have any of that 168 Gr Match Ammo left? It would be interesting to see if it prints 2" right or if its still on zero. If the scope hasn't physically moved then I'd tend to agree with Brent & Wyo in the harmonics theory. Harmonics obviously play a huge role in accuracy. I've...

Anyone else heard Norma will make RUM brass this year???

I have not heard of this but I would welcome the news if it is true. I only tend to get three or four reloads with the Remington Brass (300 RUM).

    Load Development Questions.

Samson: No Crimping necessary. This is what I do to work up a load from scratch: 1) Start by arbitrarily selecting a bullet that fills your general needs as Gorski has advised. Arbritrarily select the type of powder your would like to work up & arbitrarily select a primer & Case. 2) I start...

    Last straw with the Chrony

I own and operate a CED Millennium Chronograph (sometimes that is) . I will emit that it has the same problems as others do in dim lighting conditions and when it happens its definitely frustrating! I was considering buying the infrared screens (its like a $90.00 option) but have not...
