    Favorite anti-cant level

I used the uso rail mounted folding level for years until I switched to the LRA send-it. With the lights on the send it you never have to focus on the level. It’s almost like magic when you get used to using it, you will make level corrections without really thinking about it. As stated above...

Single digit E.S. dont mean squat.

I’m rather surprised at the childish behavior here. It seems some people don’t want information if it’s counter to their beliefs. Blocking people? Are you even mature enough to own a firearm? SD trumps ES. Period. If you don’t understand that it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to. 100’ ES...

    MY STUFF!!! Scope Trade…

I don’t have anything for you but is 32 a must? There’s a big market at 30x but not so much above. Either way, good luck.

New guy. Intro and plan for my first rifle.

To the OP, if you haven’t tracked down a barrel nut wrench yet PM me your address, I’ll get one headed your way.

    Pre-fit barrel data sheet

My TL3 is also savage threads. I would think that’s a big selling point for Zermatt. The only draw back for me is crf. Which I like, but I also like to single feed.

Is there such a thing as, "too much scope"?

I hunt with fixed power but that’s not the discussion. I think too much scope is an erector ratio that’s too high. In most cases anything over 5 is too much for our current technology to give a good view on both ends of the spectrum. A 5-25 or 7-35 or 4-20 almost always does a good job...

    Rifle weight %?

Never thought about it but seems like a good rule of thumb would be 5%. I still think that depends on physical fitness. 5% for you is #8, for me it’s #14. Then again I’m overweight and out of shape, my 14 may be a far greater challenge than your 8.

    How to Improve?

I dealt with this just this week with a Tikka CTR. After 30 rounds I found the scope loose. Tightened it up and turned out this. Check for loose screws and start over. Two inches is what it was doing until I found the problem.

    Steiner optics

How about tracking? My Mk 5 has been a disappointment.

Do you use a sun shade on your scope or not?

Interesting to see people mention having them on their target rifle but not their hunting rifle. For me I can see it used in the field because hunting is usually done when the sun is low in the sky. When I shoot matches 9 out of 10 people do not use sunshades. No, I haven’t counted but that...

Reloading- What pressure signs do you stop at?

I load one each in .3g increments up well above book specs. I then shoot each logging speed and monitoring brass as I go. Once I identify pressure signs I discard anything above that point and start developing test loads from the loads up to that point. The exception for me was years ago...

If you had $700, what would you get for reloading?

A&D fax-120i if you don’t already have one. That, a decent single stage press, and almost any dies will build top quality ammo.
