Thinking of a 6.5 Grendel upper to put on my current 5.56 lower. Do I need anything else other than a 6.5 mag? Do I need to do anything to the 5.56 lower?

I was sold on the Bmag until I held it at the store. It looks and feels like a toy. That is not really what I was looking for for my $300. I guess if it shoots, it would be ok, but I will wait for a non toy rifle in this round.

The 30-06AI is nice You can load a 110gr for plinking or varmits and up to 220gr or so for big stuff and it has the cool factor of being different and cool look of the AI shoulder angle. Better yet, get a 280AI and a 30-06AI BOTH!

6.5x284 Savage with 140gr SST shoots ~ 1/2" at 200 yards stock gun with my handloads.

I have the RRA 2 stage and it works great for me. Everything I shoot is under 0.75" at 100 yards from the bench. This is in an M4 carbine.

What about the 6.5 Grendel? I am considering it with a bull barrel upper. I think it will work with a standard 223 lower. Just need upper, new bolt, and magazine.
