Yogi, I would suggest a savage 12bvss, but if your going out to that range, i would go a to a little bigger caliber, such as a 243, but if your dead set on a .224 caliber, go up to the 22-250, you'll need all the speed you can get for those heavy bullets.

Hoser, Im useing 125 nos bt in my .308, they shoot very good, and they makes a mess out of chucks, and crows,lots of red mist, Also those 125s shoot very flat for a light bullet.

Brent, The best way I can think to pratice this would be with a shot gun on a sporting clays course, its amazing how much shooting 50-100 clay birds a week will improve reflexes.

Parker, IF possible shoot the thing/look at bore with bore scope or both, theres a very good chance the barrels shot out, the barrel with on that gun is probably a 1/12 so you will not be able to shoot heavy bullets, and on a windy day it will make lr hits very hard, you might be alot happier...

I was shooting some of the 139gr in my 6.5/284, at 1000 yards and they didnt expand when they hit the dirt, and they put holes thru my 3/16" steel at that range, i think the jacket is too thick to open on deer/elk.
