I'm still using up the 145gr bulldozers I got for my 7SAUM which is almost a ballistic twin to your 280AI. It does very well with RL26.

What were the results with the StaBall HD? I’m looking at loading it in my 28 behind 151gr PVA Cayuga bullets. I’m also going to test it against Retumbo.

I've got a new barrel on order in 270 Sherman for a rifle I'm building for my Dad. Looks like I'll be running Nosler brass also. What size bushing are you running in your die with the Nosler? I was told from Sherman I would probably need a 302 bushing depending on brass.

I can only speak from my experience with the bullets listed. My ultimate choice would be a bonded or partition style bullet.

Of the 5 listed, my vote is for the Barnes TTSX 120gr. Better penetration for off angle shots.

Third for the 284 Win or Shehane. It was well ahead of its time when introduced in 1963. If today's components were available then, the 284 would have taken off so much sooner than it did.
