Wood stock with nikon prostaff 3x9 scope. Gun fire 12x during sight in and cleaned in between each shot. Looking for a Marlin 336 in 35 rem in like condition. Would consider other lever guns in 3030, 308 Marlin. Excellent gun and accurate. Just rather be a short range shooter. :)

I went with a Savage 111G in 7mm mag. That action is looooong. Had a booger of a time mounting my Nikon scope where it needed to be, but finally got it with EGW base and Warne rings. Just need some time to shoot between soccer and softball. Might be awhie.

I'm using the Warne rings with my EGW base. Very solid. Fairly cheap through Optics Planet.

I recently purchased a 111 7mm mag. It's a looooooong action and the leupold bases i purchased wouldn't mount the Nikon scope i purchased before the rifle. It would work but was too forward on the rifle. I ordered some EGW bases from Optics Planet for $29. They're aluminum but get good...

Thinking i will. 7 rem mag should do everything i need and will certainly be better than the guy shooting it, trigger is nice, who cares what the stock looks like. Appears to be plenty of stock options available. Action of this gun seems pretty solid and should survive many hunting seasons...

I'm shooting a Mathews S2. Not the latest and greatest but shoots awesome and pulls smooth. Bow is way better than the shooter.
