    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Still beautiful! Nice looking guns and sounds like a great shooting rifle. What bullet are you running in 6xc for deer? Performance out of it?

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Yeah I really enjoy my 6.5-284 and have a lot of good harvests with it. I didn't mind the 6mm creed though on antelope. I originally bought the 6mm creed as a long range predator gun and then when my son turns old enough to hunt here in Montana I think it will be a great beginner deer rifle for...

That sir is a very fine rifle!

Yep was very impressed with its results on the two does I saw taken with it! Hopefully going to get more data by the end of this rifle season here in Montana.

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Thank you! I have never shot a gun that small at an animal but after watching how well it did I am thinking it might be my new antelope rifle! Fair enough here are the pics! First pic-Trophy pic, Second- In hole, Third- Exit hole after going through the shoulder.

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Thank you everyone for all your comments! I am just getting behind my computer now but I wanted to give an update with the hunt info and what I chose to take. I ended up bringing the 6MM creed and as someone above stated it might be my new hammer for antelope and whitetail/mule deer does. We got...

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

That is awesome! Have you ever shot an elk with it? Also, what is barrel life approximately on that? I know it depends on how hot you get the barrel and consecutive shot strings but for deer and antelope hunting I would think that thing is a hammer.

What bullet you running in yours and what velocity are you getting?

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Yeah that is exactly my thought process! No recoil, decently flat trajectory and what I think will be a great antelope/doe deer gun. I have a 300 win mag that gets most love for mule deer bucks and elk. I just had a son so I had to get "him" a rifle for when he turns 10 (years down the road)...

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

That was kind of my thought process! I want to give it a run and see what I think! I have never hunted with a 6mm of any size so I want to see the results. Other than coyotes and gophers with an old 243.

This will be the first animal I will harvest if all goes right with a 6mm sized bullet so I am hoping it will work but I have little doubts it wont work. Thanks for the input. What is your 6mm hot rod?

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

I think that is what I will do! Take the 6mm as main rifle and then have the 6.5-284 as a backup rife. I am about two hours from my house to where I am hunting.

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

I have been impressed with this little 6mm Creedmoore especially because it is in a cheap Ruger American and shoots half inch. My 6.5-284 has been extremely accurate for me. It is a custom build and shoots the 147 eld m in one hole groups as well as the 156 berger. I am just torn on what one to...

    6mm Creed or 6.5-284

Hello everyone! I am stuck between a rock and a hard spot and wanted your guys opinion. Yes, I know that's going to leave a lot of different opinions but I have a antelope doe tag that I am going after tomorrow here on Montana's opener. I originally was going to use my 6.5-284 with 156 Bergers...
