gen 1 vs gen 2 bergers

Pretty sure I wont run into that kind of an issue with the velocity I'm shooting at. Don't have enough life insurance to even try driving those out at any where near that kind of speed with my current rig! lol Thanks for the info though, havnt heard from too many people that got to try these at...

gen 1 vs gen 2 bergers

was planning on trying them all the way out to my current limit of 1150 before I tried them on anything I plan on putting in the freezer, was just curious as to what I could expect more than anything. Have only second hand knowledge of them, just been sitting in my gun room looking sad and left...

gen 1 vs gen 2 bergers

Have been shooting the gen 2 OTM 300 grain hybrids out of my .338 lapua out as far as 1150 yards with very pleasing success so far. Even have taken an cow elk and a nice black bear with them (373 on the elk and 469 on the bear) I have 180 of the gen 1's that I think I'm going to start loading...

    Awesome long range moose!

I cant remember exactly what his set up was but it was a 7mm rem mag I'm pretty sure. I had messaged him on you tube several years back when it first came out. He's from just north of me and has several other vids on you tube as well. Or he did, he may of pulled them because of some of the flack...

    I'm Back!

yes it is the 110Ba in .338 Lapua. I was shooting the 300 grain gen II Berger hybrids. Hit him in the onside shoulder, liquefied the lungs then left a golf ball sized exit wound about 3 ribs behind the offside shoulder. He was quartering a little towards me when I shot. Dropped like a sack of...

    I'm Back!

I have been away for a while, both on here and shooting and hunting in general. Not much of an excuse but new job and tons of overtime, basically life just got in the way of living. A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to go out and do some shooting again and it relit my fire so to speak...

    Moose?

358 Norma Mag loaded with 225 grain Game Kings. Have also taken a bull with a .270 win but to be honest I feel that was kind of light for the job, only reason I took the shot was because hunting partner was there backing me up with his 338Win mag

    Moose?

I hunt a lot of 1-2 year old cutblocks as well as on the river banks. I have had opportunity to take well over 700 yard shots but have passed on them due to not everything being right. I think the longest I have taken a moose at is just shy of the 400 mark but most to be honest are a lot closer...

    Moose?

Canuck shooter are you by any chance from around the P.G. or Vanderhoof area? I noticed you had a couple of albino moose pictured there and there are quite a few of them around here. PM me if you dont want it advertised where you are

    338 snipetac

Depends I guess on what you want to use it for, hunting or targer or both. Actually I guess this is one of those personal preference type questions:)

    338 snipetac

I think its 70,but to be honest I'm not positive on that. Mine is the picket fence style reticle so I also have another 32 MOA available there. I guess I should have been more specific with my answer and state that I havnt shot that far with it yet, only been to 1150 with it so far shooting but...
