Howa 1500 in 6mm Creedmoor… my first and only Howa. Put it in a MDT Oryx stock. Throat was cut way too deep… 0.20”… had barrel set back and rechambered. Still can’t get the gun to group… so bad I’ve never been able to work a load up for it.

I haven’t read all the replies, but I had the same issue and went with a Savage Lady Hunter in 243 and put a muzzle break on it. It’s light and a dream to shoot... 1/2 MOA accuracy.

I shot IHMSA for years and Ft.Stockton Texas hosted the International Championship on several occasions. Located in west Texas (high desert), not only did the wind blow hard, but the temp typically reached 100+ everyday... making for good mirage. I understand the theories of reading mirage...
