Running 30 Cal through a 45 Caliber Can?

More importantly the volume of the can is what makes it effective. A can designed for a 45 cal pistol won't be as effective as one designed for a 45-70. A 5.56 through a can designed for a 300 mag is more effective than my caliber specific can.

    Borecope Techniques and Interpretation

I used to borescope jet engines for work, and although the equipment was different some things just apply. Perception is generally shocking to a first time user. Without knowing how to gauge size everything looks catastrophic. If you know depth of grooves, width of lands, or chamber dimensions...

    Best Value 223/556 Barrel?

I have a BA Hanson on a 11.3" 1:7 pistol that flat out stacks holes. On another I used a Faxon 16" also 1:7 and it shoots just as well if not better. Both of these get 69gr or 77gr ammo. Just for plinking around I'd stay 1:8

Best overall powders for 25 06

I like 7828 with 120s. Might have to get a new tube that's faster twist and look at the 135ish.

Best overall powders for 25 06

I'd try h4831sc and work my way up to 56.7 or so depending on the gun.

    .25 cal varmint rifle

I was briefly all about doing a 20" AR15 upper in .257 and was going to go with a Bobcat. Until I started to honestly evaluate need/want vs time. Here's a link:

    Alaska Grizzly Bullet Choice

One bullet that I don't understand why it gets so little attention is the Woodliegh weld core. They don't have a high BC, but neither do TBBC or Partitions. Yet they do stay together, penetrate deep if not through most game.

Best overall powders for 25 06

Which 100gr c&c? Are you choosing or your cuz? They're not all created equal, and with the velocity you can get up to, you may actually be better off with a mild load that bug holes.

    .25 cal varmint rifle

I have used several 25 cal and still do. My first was/is a .257 Roberts shooting 75gr Hornady hp over IMR4064. Mostly coyotes, but a couple bobcat as well. I also tried the 60gr for the .25-20 out of it, as well as heavier ballistic tips. The 75gr Hornady was the go to for me. Shot Rockchucks...

Best overall powders for 25 06

I've used IMR 4350 & 4064 quite a bit, as well as RL19, 4064 gave excellent groups. H4831sc has also been excellent, but using slightly heavier bullets. My 25-06 seems to favor 120gr bullets , so I've been using slower powders, RL22/23 have been my favorite. I have not tried them all, but...

    AR10 barrel nut problem

I've only built two large frame ARs so not a lot of knowledge, but I didn't have any issues either. If ithe interference is minimal I'd clearance it being careful not to create to much heat, and March on.

    AR10 barrel nut problem

If you start bending the Z bend to gain height be very gradual. Changing the Z bend changes length at the same time.

    55gr vs 77gr 5.56

Those 64gr BSB will stabilize in a much slower twist as they are short for the weight. But yeah, they certainly work well. I have them loaded for a 1:12 .22-250 also.
