The CIP mags don’t help your case much. They’re extra long for a mag that’s already much longer than you’ll need. I run a 7 saum in an Impact long action with standard long action mags and get along fine. But the impact also has a completely different extractor than the old Remington type.
It’s hard to go wrong with thunderbeast but find them in stock somewhere or you’ll be waiting a while. KGM is also a good option and they are usually quick to get them to your SOT
Out of those the 143 eldx is the “safer” bullet. Accubonds can be finicky specially at range. I’ve killed a pile of stuff with bergers, but they usually come apart and rarely exit. For long shots it really comes down to a bullet with consistent BCs that will still expand and lower velocities and...
The medium actions are perfect for the short magnums. Gives you the room you need for heavy for caliber bullets and doesn’t send you to loading short mags in long action magazines and bottom metal.
Are you running these as single shot, box, or mags? I'm gathing parts to build one and have been curious if there will be length issue when using say AI mags.
