Point was... a simple clambering job shouldn't have a 6 month wait. Ps, dont send it to me. I'm not interested in mail order work.

I have no cnc. Just a 10 and a few fixtures. But I do have backflow pump, which helps some. not really a lot, but it's a cleaner job.

Honestly tho, theres just no reason to put a guys barrel on a shelf for 6 months. Some Smith's just sit on stuff to add a mysterious feel to their work I think. Now, if it's a dead blank and he wants threads, shoulders set, and muzzle threaded, that's maybe a little different

I have no problem pushing cast well over 3000fps. Gas checked, powdercoated, and heat treated. Theres no speed limit on lead. I dont have a cnc, but I turn 50 cal down to .475 on my sb 10. I made a copycat arm for the taper attachment and they turn out really close. Itd be easier to do it...

If he has a ltcf, he can carry whatever he wants. If he doesn't, he needs to be (open)carrying a legal gun for whatever he is hunting. Semis arent legal for hunting in pa, so I assume Your buddy doesn't have a ltcf. Either get a revolver 4"+, or just hide it better like the rest of us :)

My 200 pieces were very close. Over 100 were within 1 grain. I put those away and have used the other 100 which were within a few grain. Maybe I got a great batch. Maybe you got the last box from the barrel?

Got a rcbs primer pocket swager? Bump them before trying to prime. Those Pockets are tiiiiiiight!

It's also why guys look down their nose at savage rifles still. I suppose it stinks to spend 1500 bucks on that 700 to get it squared up when that dam 500 dollar savage shoots right outta the box. :)
