Make sure the action screws are tighten properly. I don't own a Savage and don't know anything about this model but with some guns especially with a free floating barrell sometimes the action screws needs to be tightened. This would be a next step. Your gun should be a tack driver in that caliber.

Iv'e had a Ziesse Diavara 3-12-56 z-plex retical on 300 Wby. Accumark for 8+ years with zero issues also lifetime warrarnty if ever needed. I think is was about $1,800.00 new. There is some on Sampelist for $1,399.00. Ziesse also has a new retical that has I think up to 800yrd. hold over line.

My bad again I just got off Bergers site and saw they make hunting bullets that expand that have lead. I was talking about one peice bullets like Barnes and Hornady GMX.

Besides Berger and Barnes that are solid copper what have ya'll found to be your most accurate factory bullet? I like Wby. factory 180 Accoubonds out of my 300 Wby. Thanks.

Hired Gun, I will handload eventually don't have time now. You are one of the reasons I shoot Accoubouds, I remember a thread you talked about taking and Elk I think 600+ yards and developing a load for the 200 grain. I guess the Berger has a higher BC so thats why you now shoot it for longer...

I do not hand load and right now I shoot sub inch groups from 100 yards shooting Wby. 180 accubonds made by Wby. and will not change but was just courious if any one has had the same kind of performance from ammo other than Wby. Like nosler custom 180 accubond for example. Thanks
