I'd build a 1-8 twist if I were going to shoot the 105s exclusively but I'd like to shoot lighter bullets as well without having them explode partway downrange.

The reason I ask is that I'm building a .243 with a 1-9" twist hoping that it will stablize the longer bullets and not over-spin the lighter ones. Has anyone shot a 58 grain BT through a 1-8" twist barrel? Will they nose over and not glide, or will they just explode/come apart around 100 yds? I...
