My two longest with two different guns were. 980 yds on whitetail with Bergara HMR 300WM 212gr. ELD-X over 76.1gr. H1000 969 yds on whitetail with Custom 6.5 CM 143gr. ELD-X over 43.3gr. Of Superformance.

The yardage change too, correct? The first group was shot at 200 yds and second was at 100 yds. Why not do both groups at the same distance?

I spoke to someone in the industry and he said he thinks we still have 2 years of this crap before it gets better. As for, will they go back to pre-COVID, he said he doubts that but prices will drop.

I am right there with you at 54.5 on my 130gr Sierra SBT

It is all I use to load for 270 in my savage 110 and my dad’s Winchester 70. Sierra SBT in 130gr. and 150gr. It does well in my 300wby. With 212 ELD-X also.

The 140 TGK is an awesome bullet for the 6.5 cm. I have taken whitetail with that bullet from 60yds out to 300 with great results.

I do not have any experience with the TTSX but I have heard it is a great bullet. I do however have a lot of knowledge with the ELD-X in 6.5 creed, 270 win and 300 win. It is a great bullet at distances out past 400 yards. I have dropped deer where they stood at 980 yds with the 143 for 6.5 and...

Can I ask if you are only target shooting why 30 caliber or larger with no break. Why not smaller caliber that can still perform long range target shooting but much less powder, if you are a reloader? If it has to be .30 caliber or larger then IMO I would go 338.

You have asked a good question but you need to give more information as sierriacharlie338 stated. After those questions are answered then the best caliber can be determined.

I was one of those 6.5 creed haters for many years…until I bought a custom 6.5 from somone needing cash. Could not pass up the deal. After just target shooting it I fell in love with it. Longest shot so far on a whitetail is 960 yds. With hand loads 143 gr. ELD-X. There was no tracking needed.
