Yeah I always seem to be trying to find the best balance between a caliber and bullet that will blow up inside coyote (not exit) and one that will buck the wind and shoot well out past 400-600yds.
In my experience the smaller polymer tipped bullets really hit hard so long as they impact...
I shoot both the Berger 95gr Hunting VLD and the 105 Hunting VLD out of a 1:8 twist 6XC.
Both are way overkill for most of the TX coyotes around here.
The 6mm Hunting VLDs fly so good I have not tried the Hybrids.
Both the 95s & 105s really hammer a 40lb coyote and are a bit overkill (IMO)...

Well a couple of barrels on my favorite coyote guns are in need of replacing and I have decided to have both re barreled & re chambered in AI versions (.223AI & .243AI).

I was under the impressing that if I utilized a one peice base (20moa or standard Leupy)that it likely would need to be bedded to the top of the reciever. Otherwise when I tightened the base down it would put unwanted torque on the reciever.
