    8# Norma URP

For those who are not aware, Norma URP is the premium powder version made by Bofors in Sweden whom also supply Alliant with RL16. Some mistakenly believe that it's the other way around. More handloaders seem to be aware that RL15 comes from what is sold as Norma 203B, and RL22 from what is sold...

Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor Precision Hunter 143 ELD-X Powder

Have any of you tried N204 in the 6.5 CM? I had 4# listed for sale in the classifieds, but sold it locally to a range friend. He shoots 6.5 x 47mm, and with 130 gr. Berger VLDs he started getting 1-hole groups right off the bat. First with 3 rounds and then with 5 averaging .3" and he's just...

H4350 here to stay or just temporary?

I have 4# of Norma N204 for sale in the classifieds. If I loaded 6.5 CM I'd probably keep it. Should be a great alternative to H4350.

H4350 here to stay or just temporary?

Hasn't Hodgdon stopped bringing in some powders from ADI? Some of their powders are now coming from Canada and they are not rated the equal of the ADI product. If that happened with H4350 and Varget, there's gonna be a lot of unhappy campers/reloaders!

    SOLD/EXPIRED 4# of Norma 204

The powder was shipped to me directly from Western Powder Co. whom I have written some articles for. $25/pound + Haz-Mat. For those who are unfamiliar with N204, it's just a tad slower than the various 4350s on burn rate charts, but is well suited to the same applications. It burns faster than...

Best powder for 30-06,22 inch barrel 1 in 10 twist, 178 eldx ?

I use the other 4350s in my handloads. AA 4350 seems to burn cooler and I use N204 as well. I don't know all of the reasons for the recall of some lots of Ramshot Hunter, but that is behind us now. I would like to try it for an application like this as it is touted to rival extruded in temp...

    Best Single Stage Press?

I'm sure the Forster is great, but I have no doubts about REDDING. For precision with the longer cartridges, the Big Boss is what I'd recommend. One thing common to REDDING SS Presses is that they have Top-Dead-Center and it definitely helps control OACL. T-D-C stops ram travel at the same exact...

    6.5mm, 150gn SMK

I received an email from Graf & Sons yesterday and they are running Sierra bullets on sale. I wasn't really looking at anything specific, checking prices on several. I didn't see anything missing, however, from .224" up to .284".

    6.5 SAUM, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08

5RWill, I'm thinking the ability to load bullets further out of the neck would have the same advantage it does with the 6.5 CM and hopefully the 6.5 PRC. And maybe performance equal to the .280 AI. The twist rate would likely be the same or close to 1 in 9.5". Since these rounds are shorter...

    6.5 SAUM, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08

With Hornady behind the 6.5 PRC, I get your point. However, the 6.5 CM is firmly established and served very well with rifles and ammo along with fairly light recoil as far as the average shooter. From what I see, and has been pointed out here is that we now have 3 - 6.5mms that essentially do...

    6.5 SAUM, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08

Interesting thread, and now we have the 6.5 PRC to throw into the mix. In looking up load data, invariably, the custom barrel has a twist rate of 1 in 9". I know it's hard to over-stabilize a bullet, but with the points made about short barrel life, I can't help but wonder if 1 in 8" is too fast...
