The 243 Winchester has been my favorite rifle cartridge since 1983. Took scads of deer with it and have never lost an animal from 30 yds to a tad over 350. Always used good bullets from 85 to 100 grains.

When I used a rifle it was without a doubt the 243 Winchester, farthest kill was around 350ish, never lost an animal with it, now that I hunt only with handguns it’s my 10” 41 Magnum in the T/C Contender or the Ruger SRH in 41 Magnum for shots out to 100yds. or so. For the longer shots it falls...

When people ask me how I like retirement I tell them it’s the best job I’ve ever had! 😁

I have one on a Nosler M48 Independence in 308, love it.

Don’t know for sure how many engines the train had but let’s say he had 4 Locomotives, 2 on the headend and 2 mid train helpers. That’s around 35,000 H.P. +/- I dare say he didn’t feel a thing until the train went into emergency due to the air line being severed/came apart when the derailment...
