    Freebore

Re: I have a zero freebore on mine...... Why bother building freebore into the chamber when you will be getting it soon anyway? The throat will start going fast as it is, this is the problem with all badly overbore capacity cases. As the throat wears so you move out with the seating depth. This...

    spotting scopes???

I have had the Kowa 82mm from the first year of production. I can only tell you how it stacks up against the vary high dollar scopes. The Kowa glass beats the 2,000 dollar scopes hands down. This is the opinion of shooters that have compared my glass to there's. I do not know about the Nikon...

Spotting hits - is it even possible

I do think it would be a lot easier to control the muzzle flip if a stock was made with the pistol grip ahead of the action or at least even with the receiver ring. A back sweep pistol grip, more along the angle of the AR's, would also be a help. Of course the trigger would be a nightmare, but...

Spotting hits - is it even possible

I don't think that you can make what you want to happen, happen. Way to much energy to tame. How can anyone hope to achieve straight line recoil, with any stock design where the hand is the only stop? Think for a moment of the AR's and how that design makes for straight recoil.

XP - Center grip or rear grip

I like the way the Mcmillan stock balances the 14" barrel on my old XP 100 action, but mine is used only from available rests or offhand. Also, I only use it as a .223 Rem. Recoil is not an issue. It does kill moose however.

    redding comp die problems

I would look for the cause rather than shipping them back. I suspect you have a burr on the bushing or a nick, a little crocus cloth if inspection proves this to be the case will work wonders. You might want to dry lube the inside of the die and bushing with dry moly. Talk to REDDING first and...

    Shooting benches

I think a shooter needs two benches, that bench sold by Royal Stucky @ shooting benches.com for working up loads, accuracy testing etc. And a bench for hunting. The neatest setup I've ever seen was and old gas fired golf cart with a swivel bench mounted on it. The guy even had a sun shade...

    Seperated head/case help

Did you know there are people in this world that have taken ruptured case extractors and inletted them into butt-stocks, so that they did not worry about having this happen to them on a hunt. Hard to believe huh, that anyone could ever think it could happen to them on a hunt.

[ QUOTE ] I've never seen a Harrells but his powder measures are the best. I would think that something like the Harrells being kinda semi custom would probably be more accuratly made that an cast mass produced unit I have a Forster Bonanza that I woulden't give up for anything and swapping...
