i shoot a 300rum and a friend of mine shoots a .284.we went out this weekend gone and shot a few wild goats not to far out of town.most shots made were over 500 yards and both rifles did their job,and if an animal went for a wee trot after being hit,it was neither the calliber or the rifles...

gidday iv got a 300 rum in a sendero with a 26" tube,i use 83grn adi 2217 (which i have been told is our equall to h1000) CCI 250 magnum primers with the 208 A - max seated 10thou from the lands.shoots 1" @ 300yds,not the best load out there im sure but it works for me jeremy

208grn Amaxs, CCI primer, 83grns H1000 and .010" off the lands.Shoots 1" groups at 300 yards out of my sendero.I didnt find the 220 smks that good but just my 2 centcs:)
