With a new barrel I do a base to ogive measurement to the lands with preferred bullet, to help measure throat erosion . Basically the more data collected from load work, weather conditions, rounds since last cleaning, the clearer picture you will have of what's happening with your rifle.

All parts are at the gunsmiths, waiting for the magic to happen. Looking for ideas for a starting load for a 6.5/7 PRC and a 147- ELD-M. I have H-1000 and Retumbo on hand. Using ADG brass.

I have H-1000, Retumbo and RL-33 on hand and scored a keg of N570 last night. Still in the parts collection faze. Build will probably happen next year.

Looking for some help for a 7 RUM that will be running 180 ELD-M's. Will be using a Proof CF 26" 1X9 twist barrel and Wyatt's extended box mag. Any help with powder selection and or predicted velocities would appreciated.

The 212 LRX's have a driving band on the lower 1/4 -1/3 of the bullet, so you are limited on seating depth. Recommend OAL for a 300 PRC is 3.960. I used 3.950. Shot a ladder today at 300, 8 shots had a vertical of 1.25". Ladder was using H1000 from 77.0 to 80.5 going .5 gr increments. Velocity...
