    Which .25?

    The 25 cals. are underrated in my opinion. I have a 250 sav. in a Remington 788. Love it! Very accurate, efficient and easy to shoot. Not the fastest but reliable and easy to load for. The 257 Roberts is a great choice also. Good luck with whichever you choose.

    Animal Targets at Range?

    I have never seen anyone do this but I have done it. It is how I taught my kids to shoot so they know the kill zones on different game animals. I would put a skeletal target behind a replica target. Then after the shot pull the replica target away so they could see if they hit bone. Helped them...

    I have used both the Sierra and the Hornady bullets you are mentioning in my Rem. 760 308 on Pa and Montana whitetails. Ranging from 50 to 350 yds. Haven't had on go more than 60 yds.     I haven't used Accubonds in my 308. If you are wanting pass thro the 165s will do that for sure at your range. I use 150 gr. SSTs in my rifles and only had one out of 10 or so not exit. Most dropped right where they stood. The Accubonds work great on my 7mm tho.

    My rifles are from 1.5 to 2. I have a Russian rifle with a 1.75 and it went from a 2 inch gun at 100 to a.5 inch.
