1.) How much improvement is there between a 26" barrel over a 24" barrel? (25-06 Rem.) 2.) Which brand and weight bullet is best for 200 lb whitetail deer at 50 to 300 yards? (25-06 Rem.) I don't reload so I will be using factory ammo. Thanks.

I have a Sako Finnlight in 270 Win. It would shoot 1" to 1.5" groups with any ammo. My woods gun is a Browning BAR MOBU ShortTrack chambered in 308 Win. Swarvoski 3x10x42 scope. I shoot Winchester Super X 180 gr. power points in it. These deer in Alabama hate to meet up with me. :D

I will be hunting with a 25-06 with a 26" barrel in Alabama next year. My shots will be from 50 to 350 yards. (woods and gasline) Which over the counter ammo would you use. I'm looking at solid bullets like the Hornady 110 gr GMX Superformance.
