    338win mag brown bear

My experience with nosler bullets is similar in the calibers SMALLER than 338. The 375 noslers are Awsome. Probably because you can't over drive them, but maybe they are built heavier. Smaller calibers wash the front off the bullet every time unless a far shot. That leaves the shooter with less...

416 Taylor is a fine cartridge. A nice balance of power and shootability. I know what u mean about the bear threads. ;)

    338win mag brown bear

I have to agree with cold trigger, a large dangerous animal heading at u fast with bad intentions is hard to deal with. In fact the close shoot out I was in on was in a alder thicket at 13 yards. There were 3 bullets that went thru a tree as thick as my forearm then into the bear. That bear was...

    338win mag brown bear

Lunchbox I guide for brown bears sometimes. I use a 375 ruger Alaskan stainless with 1.75-6 leupold vx-3 or my marlin stainless 45-70 with an extended magazine. 1.5-5 leupold vx3 also. I like em both a lot. I am in a backup role though, so a bit more gun is never a bad idea. I really like...

.338 win will work fine. remember, shot placement is king. put the bullets on the spot, very good bullets that is. that equals a dead bear. also, continue to shoot until the bear is for sure dead, none of that one shot and wait to see if the bear died stuff. good luck on your hunt

Killin' Science And Bullet Selection For The Layman

although i agreed with most of the info you put out in the article, cant agree with it all. although theory is nice, long bullet holes in vitals is nicer. energy alone is NOT what kills. all of your commentary on how bullets work was correct, but, i would rather have a bit of energy...
