Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind. I've never used just a body die, but I have used the collet dies in other cartridges. For the CM, I have a set of the Hornady custom dies with the seater plug for the 143's I'm shooting. I'm a noob with the long range and precision equipment.
This will be primarily for my 6.5CM, 308 and 22-250. I do have a couple of contender barrels that are not shooting up to the level I think they are able to, so maybe this would help solve that problem.
I'm looking at purchasing a good gauge, not the most expensive one, but something accurate enough to measure the case neck thickness to aid in obtaining concentric cartridges. I'm also needing to purchase a case neck trimmer. Any ideas?
Thanks,

I'm using IMR 8208 with a Nosler 120 BT @ 0.017" from the lands for my grandsons. They're still young and no need to punish them, but it shoots this load fine just under an inch @100 yds.
I have used my 270 Win since the middle 70's for my first deer of each year. Then I switch over to a pistol using the 7-30 Waters cartridge. Deer only take a few steps with either one.
I have a small towel in my other hand to wipe off the outside after sizing. But I'm not sure it makes any difference since the graphite's a powder and if there are any scratches, they'd be miniscule.
When necessary, I use the graphite lube and have never had an issue when the graphite mixes with the powder. No increase in pressure signs, not any difference in groups
