Just moved to east Helena and looking to find spots to hunt, anybody need an extra shooter?

What are you looking to shoot? I don't have a dog but I get a few hun's, mountain grouse, and pheasants every year.

I have dogs!

Lots of shooting between Helena and Three Forks on both block management and state/federal ground. Go high and near water (creeks, springs, and water seeps) for mountain grouse. Go near water and grain for pheasants (not open till October). Look for dry land farming for hungarian partridge and sharptail grouse.

Go talk to the local biologists for suggestions on where to hunt with higher populations of birds.
