I am setting up a new 7mm rem mag Remington 700 long range hunter.
I am going to use a 20 MOA picitiny base and was wondering if anyone has used the extreme hardcore gear base with built in level?

I want to keep the gun as light as possible so I am looking at this base and aluminum TPS or Leupold Mark4 aluminum rings.

Is there another quality 20 moa aluminum picitiny base and rings I should consider?

Thanks

I use EGW 0 and 20 MOA on all of my bolt actions and have had no problems. They make steel and aluminum versions for most bolt action receivers.

I also only use Vortex Precision Matched rings. They require no lapping and have served me well but they are a little pricey.

yep seekins just did an upgrade with there 6/4 cap rings and one of there 20 moa rails and i'm impressed

there rail has a decent recoil lug..

Bought the seekins 20moa aluminum rail.

I'm thinking seekins, tps or Leupold mark 4 aluminum rings.

I will check out the Vortex rings, thanks.

I've starting out buying EGW for a single rifle i own, and was so pleased with the quality, I have purchased 6 more for many of my other rifles. I was a little concerned that the aluminum bases might not hold up to the abuse my 300 win mag can dish out, however, it's done amazingly well, holding rock solid after countless rounds.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend egw. I was surprised that I have not had to lap any of the bases.
