I'm looking for lightweight, quiet rain gear that will keep me dry and not break the bank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Cabelas MT050. It might be a little more than what you want to spend, but why risk it when you are on a hunt like I do in the Wyoming Wilderness areas. Plus you can wear to block the wind.

I'm looking at trying a set of Frog Toggs for this fall. Lightweight, pack able, and priced very reasonable.

You should be asking if "Kuiu" is quiet in the brush and trees.

None of the hard shell rain gear is "quite" the brushed face stuff is much quieter but it saturates, is heavier and takes longer to dry back out again. Not saying is brushed face rain gear sucks but these different types of rain gear have strengths and weaknesses. For me if it's raining hard enough that I need rain gear then the noise is probably covered up by the rain. Also no matter how "breathable" rain gear says it is rain gear just isn't that breathable. If you are moving a lot you will probably be sweating and getting wet from the inside. So when it rains I'm just not moving much so again I'm not that worried about the noise hardshell makes. I have used kuiu and kryptek to be honest most of the top end stuff is going to be pretty compatible. I like kryptek and first lite better as companies than kuiu so I usually look to them for my selections. When I'm hunting from a cabin or wall tent I usually choose a dwr soft shell and have been happy with these jackets.

Thanks for the help. I looked for a long time to find good QUIET rain gear. Going in and feeling a lot of fabrics. I went with Cabella's dry plus suede. It did take a bit longer to completely dry out but it was the quietest gear out there at that time. Looking at MT050 next time, but keeping my options open for now.
Bow stalking in brush needs quiet material. Go rub any and all gear between your fingers or a small branch and listen to how careful you'll have to be. There's nothing perfect, and it depends on your style of hunting.

I use my MT050 bow hunting and I use traditional equipment. Enough said about quiet?

Like one of the previous post mentioned in that if it is raining that noise will surely cover any noise of the rain wear.

Hey, last year I bought a full wardrobe of under armour. I have been very satisfied so far. As far a just a waterproof shell, they are great. But when you need to be absolutely waterproof you have to compromise breathability. Some of the best waterproofing is a big tree.. I do know that when it comes to hunting apparel you get what you pay for. Just the uninsulated shell is $300
You won't be disappointed.

I have never seen it rain in Wyoming during the rifle season. Always snow !!!! Not saying it doesn't but not where I have been, in 8 trips.

I took the advice from most of guys and went with the Kuiu super down jacket and pants and the Kuiu rain gear. I figured I could wear the super down jacket and pants over my hiking close and under my rain gear while glassing. I hope this gear will be warm enough.
