I know this is the 7mmstw forum but I figured you all would know the answer to my question. Would a Model 70 chambered in 300 Win Mag be long enough to handle the 270stw? Thanks ahead for the help.

There is usually a spacer in the back of the mag box that would have to be removed but the best thing to do would be to buy a Wyatt extended mag box for it.

Thanks for the heads up. Ending up picking up a Win model 70 in 7 mag for the build. The rifle is actually in great shape. Got a good deal at 350.00.

It would require the same modifications as the 300wm. They are both short magnums as compared to RUM's and H&H's.
